Conductor's Ensemble: Practical Chorus (1)

background

For decades, our college has continued to train pastors and believer leaders for the church; in response to needs, the teaching and delivery of church music and worship-related fields has always been very diverse, ranging from full-time or part-time degrees, diplomas, and certificates Courses range from a variety of short- to medium-term academic and practical subjects. The service personnel trained during this period work in churches, schools, institutions, etc. in Hong Kong and elsewhere, directly and indirectly spawning and shepherding many educational or mission teams that promote sacred music/worship.

In 2004, the Sacred Music Service responded to the "MusiCall" movement with a special mission to gather and train church music personnel. At that time, several key instructors were teachers of our college and our center. Over the years, it has trained dozens of church music pastors, music teachers in seminaries, universities, middle schools and primary schools, and professional musicians, etc., who are currently located in many places in the country, Europe and the United States.

In recent years, our school has focused on strengthening the integrated nature of practical theological education. In addition, both our center and the Sacred Music Service felt the importance of inheriting the past and linking the future. Therefore, they began to promote the new development of the "Music Garden" movement and decided to recruit musicians from all churches in Hong Kong. Together with the worship service staff (including ministry instructors, choir members, conductors, worship service staff, instrumental musicians, etc.), we hope to form a new "Conductor's Ensemble: Practical Chorus” (MusiCall Conductors Infinite), which plans to continue long-term training for two to three quarters a year. We hope to inspire participants to support and cooperate with each other, and work together to promote, establish, and improve the quality of church music and worship-related ministries.
