content Conducting and Choral Special Topic Series (4): Vivaldi's "Ode to Gloria" (movements 3, 6, and 10)
Italian composer Vivaldi is recognized as one of the most famous Baroque musicians, and his concertos and choral works are widely praised by future generations.
  1. This series of special courses on conducting and chorus will be divided into three consecutive semesters, focusing on the study of Vivaldi's popular choral work "Ode to Gloria" (RV589) section by section;
  2. The class is based on simulated chorus exercises, teaching chorus training arrangements, conducting skills, choir vocal guidance and conductor coordination, and the functions of the vocal director;
  3. There are two ways to apply for this undergraduate program: "Conducting Student" or "Chorus Student" (both are required to participate in classroom choral practice);
  4. Conducting students will receive individual conducting while taking turns leading exercises in class; chorus students will receive group vocal training at a pace.
Lecturer Conductor: Mr. Xian Hongji
Master of Music in Orchestral Conducting from the Eastman School of Music in the United States; Bachelor of Music from McGill University in Canada (majoring in percussion and timpani); active in conducting local classical and contemporary music orchestras, leading the orchestra to perform different periods and styles with a simple conducting style s work.

Vocal and Choral Director: Miss Guo Chen
Postgraduate Diploma in Vocal Music and Opera from the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, and Diploma in Singing from Trinity College of Music in the United Kingdom (ATCL).
object Choir or choir conductor, tutor, music teacher, chorus and vocal music enthusiast. Must have basic ability to read music and sight-sing.

Remark
  1. Sign up to conduct students:If two or more people apply as a group, or as individuals before February 4, the tuition fee is HK$1,560 per person;
  2. Register for chorus students:If three or more people apply as a group, or as individuals before February 4, the tuition fee is HK$1,065 per person.
  3. Mail the registration form and check, and the date will be based on the postmark. Tuition fees paid are non-transferable.
  4. After the course is completed, there will be a graduation concert, tentatively scheduled to be held on April 28 or May 5. Details will be announced later.
  5. At the beginning of the course, the instructor will provide an online version of the music score for students to download and print.
