Choral Skills (I): Study and Investigation

suject Choral Skills (I): Study and Investigation - - Registration accepted
content This course focuses on choral skills and guides students to discover how to pursue beautiful choral effects in church and school choral settings (i.e., most choral members have not received professional music training).
The course touches on the following areas of personal and group quality growth:
1 Singing vocalization, pronunciation, tone matching, harmony of voices, balance of dynamics and other musical elements,
2 Conducting action review,
3. Song selection, teaching training, aesthetic shaping, spiritual training,
4 Administrative operations, financial management, etc.
This course is offered from time to time, and the content of each session is independent and related. In addition to classroom theoretical explanations and sharing of practical experience of over 50 years by the instructor, it also includes observation of actual chorus practice, allowing students to directly participate and experiment with skills as needed.

Music Director of Praise Him Choir, Church Music Garden, Hong Kong Hymn Society
object Church or school choral music instructor and conductor. Requires at least two years of choral conducting or three years of choral experience, and the ability to read music.

Live observation class (observe the regular practice of the "Holy Voices to Him Chorus")
June 5 and 12, 2025 (two sessions on Thursdays)

Remark
  1. Tuition fee for groups of three or more, or individual registration before May 20, is HK$$990 per person
  2. Mail the registration form and check, and the date will be based on the postmark. Tuition fees paid are non-transferable.
  3. Course students may bring one or two choir partners to attend the live observation classes on June 5 and 12, 2025.
