content Nearly eighty years have passed since the end of World War II, and choral activities around the world have flourished like never before! The performance level of the chorus team, the types and creativity of the works, the number of choral activities and the continuous improvement, expansion and breakthrough in cross-fields (art form, culture/society/language/region, etc.) have all made choral music become an increasingly popular part of society. It has become an indispensable scene among groups, social systems, regions, nations, and even continents. It has become a major contender for pop culture against the main trend of consumption and commercialization!
It is a pity that the general church in Hong Kong has gradually moved away from and withdrawn from this artistic approach, giving up worshiping the Lord, preaching the gospel, cultivating spirituality, and fellowship through this form of action!
This course focuses on the perspective of choral skills and guides students to discover how to pursue the beautiful effect of chorus in church and school choral settings (that is, most chorus members have no professional music training). From musical elements such as singing vocalization, articulation, tone matching, vocal harmony, and dynamic balance, to conductor movements, song selection, teaching training, aesthetic molding, spiritual training, administrative operations, financial management, etc., the quality growth of individuals and groups Categories will be touched.
This course is offered from time to time, and the content of each session is independent and related. In addition to classroom theoretical explanations and sharing of practical experience of over 50 years by the instructor, it also includes observation of actual chorus practice, allowing students to directly participate and experiment with skills as needed.

Remark
  1. If three or more people apply as a group, or as individuals before January 11, the tuition fee is HK$990 per person
  2. Mail the registration form and check, and the date will be based on the postmark. Tuition fees paid are non-transferable.
  3. Applicants need to purchase two choral collections "Rhythm and Time" and "It's Paradoxical" from the Sacred Music Service in advance (the "Church Festival Chorus Collection" published by Praise Him Chorus). Or specify when registering that you need to order on your behalf, and pay a total of HK$156 in cash during the first class to receive it.
  4. Course students can bring one or two chorus partners to the live observation classes on January 25 and February 1, 2024.
