How much time of silence are there in the worship services you attend?

How have churches throughout the ages made good use of silence to allow believers to meet the Lord?

In the bustling social reality, God actually acts through silence. How can our worship today create a space of silence for God to speak to us?

This course uses discussion, explanation, projection sharing, personal experience, etc. to discover the meaning and practice of silence in worship in the worship and spiritual traditions of the church throughout the ages.

suject The Art and Spirituality of Icon Painting Class C - - Registration accepted
content Icon painting is an important religious art and cultural heritage, and is also known as the "window to heaven." This course aims to guide students to appreciate icon paintings, have a brief taste of icon paintings, and experience using icon paintings as a tool for personal spiritual practice.
Courses cover:
  1. The origin, definition, controversies of icon painting and its relationship with believers;
  2. The artistry of icon painting, its unique norms and basic techniques;
  3. Possibilities of icon painting (selected parts), exploration and experience as a spiritual tool.

object Believers interested in the art of iconography, painting and spiritual practice do not need to possess any advanced painting skills.

Remark
  1. For group registration of three or more people, the tuition fee is HK$500 per person
  2. Mail the registration form and check, and the date will be based on the postmark. Tuition fees paid are non-transferable.
Classes A, B, and C of this course have the same content.
The class will provide a piece of 300g watercolor paper. Students need to bring the following items:
  1. Watercolor brushes (round heads) No. 1 and No. 2, or small regular script brushes (2 to 3 pieces),
  2. Advertising color or watercolor (three primary colors, black and white),
  3. Color plates, paper cups/plastic cups,
  4. Small towel/apron, table paper),
  5. Stationery (pencils, red ball pens, erasers, rulers, etc.),
  6. 2 F4 size glue folders (so that you can clip the paintings and carry them)
