Do I Love My Lord with All My Strength, Soul and Mind?

Zhong Suxian, first-year Master of Divinity, the angel in white who accompanied me on my journey to heaven, I will offer my life as a sacrifice to God! Thank God, after I believed in the Lord in 1985, I gradually grew up in the Christian Nurses Fellowship of Pok Oi Hospital. Although I had to work shifts and was often unable to attend church meetings, there were several sisters in the nursing fellowship who supported me, cared for me, and accompanied me on my pilgrimage. During the holidays, they would invite me to retreat camps and teach me how to get close to God and read God’s words. The love these sisters have for me allows me to see their commitment to God; I also see the likeness of Christ in them - always giving without expecting anything in return. They let me know how beautiful a life is for a person who follows God, and they also inspired me to determine to follow God. Later, they each had different ministry positions, some became missionaries, and some entered seminaries to receive training. At that time, I really envied their "chicness", but I did not have the full confidence to follow them on that blessed road. ...

Speak, for Your Servant Is Listening

Huang Baiming, a first-year master of divinity student, finally took the first step. "The Lord came and stood again, calling like the first three times: 'Samuel! Samuel!' Samuel replied, 'Speak, for your servant is listening!'" (Samuel) 3:10) Many years ago, I heard the pastor narrate the experience of Samuel in a sermon. At that time, I thought to myself: If God calls me, I will also be willing to say: "I am here, and my servant is listening!" Years later, I still have a deep impression of what I thought at that moment. Maybe from that time on, God put an "I do" heart in my life. ...

True to What Is Entrusted

Mr. Shun Shaolin, Visiting Assistant Professor of New Testament Scripture: Amos 7:10-17 I think everyone must find it strange that a person who reads the New Testament and studies Paul would actually choose an Old Testament passage when preaching . I did want to talk about Paul at first, but there was a passage that still lingered in my mind for several months. It was Amos 7:10-17. ...

Collection of "Short Lectures" sermons: How does God use my life?

There were two powerful information sharing sessions in the experience camp, namely the "short lecture" on the first night and the "morning meeting" on the second day. Lin Guobin Pastoral Scripture: 1 Samuel 16:1-13 Through the story of Samuel anointing David, Pastor Lin and the campers thought about how God views people and how he actively chooses servants who are after His own heart. He explained two paragraphs, verses 1 to 5 and verses 6 to 10, analyzing the two opposing themes of "rejection" and "election" from the scriptures, and then pointed out that "seeing" is another theme of the second paragraph. The first part of the sermon will be omitted below, and it will be compiled from the third theme "Seeing" to the end. ...

Testimonies fo God’s Calling Meeting

Flesh and grace, one campmate described this "Call to Testimony Sharing Session" as "flesh and grace," and it was one of the most touching sessions. In this sharing session, one of our classmates and two alumni talked about their calling and their experiences in studying theology. The space here is limited, so I can only extract small paragraphs from three stories to share with readers. I hope that even though the paragraph is small, it still allows you to see the vastness of God’s grace. ...
