Pastoring as an Interpreter and Preacher

The Best Reward for Life’s Impermanence

Connie Cheung (Th.M.) with her husband and daughter. I still remember that at the end of 2014, facing the social situation, I prayed and asked Heavenly Father how to shepherd His sheep, especially the college and early career youth who were the hardest hit. Heavenly Father inspired me to study His word in depth, and to walk with those brothers and sisters who are in suffering with His grace and promises. So, I entered this master's degree program in theology with the concepts of "suffering", "the Father's words", and "pastoral care". ...

Applying What I’ve Learned and Deepening My Ministry

Abundant Grace

A Road of Mission, A Path of Theology, and A Way of Life

Samuel Yip (M.Div.) The missionary journey The year I entered the seminary, I was moved and began to have a burden for missionary work. After receiving confirmation, I raised my hand in tears to respond to the call at the missionary meeting; the tears were not from sadness, but because I saw the urgent needs in the missionary field. On the one hand, I am becoming more and more certain that God wants to send me on a missionary journey, and on the other hand, I am studying theology full-time; the two are not one at the expense of the other, but rather complement each other. From then on, the "missionary path" and the "theological path" were intertwined in my "path of life". Although I am old and the beginning may be difficult, when I embarked on this path, I found that it was a journey of grace and no regrets. ...

The Divine Mandate of Spiritual Parents: Paul as Our Role Model

Bernard Leung Associate Professor of New Testament ...

The Magnitude of Salvation Revealed in Psalm 65

Assistant Professor of New Testament Zhang Kaixian God’s salvation not only refers to the “forgiveness of sins”, but also includes the change of life status, the shaping of a group, and the realization of the kingdom of God. Just as Paul also discussed salvation in this way, he wrote in Romans 5:1, "Since we are justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ." Through this sentence, Paul started from the previous chapter. The concept of "justification by faith" in several chapters advances to the description of the life state of "union with God" in chapters 6 to 8; after that, he further discusses the relationship between different ethnic groups in Christ from the perspective of group formation. how the kingdom of God is revealed in history and in the present day (Romans 9-15). ...
