Rotational Teaching with Flying Colors
Grace Chan Associate Chaplain and Lecturer of Church Music In 2014, I co-taught the course "Church Worship Studies" with teachers from the Bible and Christian Thought departments, a total of five people. Since this subject is an interdisciplinary study, it requires the integration of various fields, with equal emphasis on theory and practice. Before the course started, several of us teachers met to discuss the course’s objectives, scope, key content, and homework requirements, so as to help students think about the church’s worship ministry from multiple perspectives, including the Bible, theology, church history, church tradition and rituals, church worship ministry and pastoral care, ethical practice, and modern cultural context. The classes were taught by teachers from different disciplines who took turns teaching the corresponding topics; I was mainly responsible for coordination, observing each class and teaching the second half of the class.
