A Teaching So Deep and Wide
Liu Yongji, Master of Divinity, adopts the "collaborative teaching" model for subjects that I have taken including "Church Theology", "Preaching" and "Weilimon: Worship, Ethics, Preaching". When students participate in a certain subject, they usually expect the teacher to share his research results on a specific topic and lead students to discuss and learn in depth. In subjects that adopt the "collaborative teaching" model, teachers approach the same topic from different perspectives and demonstrate the diversity of different aspects of the subject through multi-angle analysis and dialogue. In the subject of "Church Theological Views", professors who specialize in different majors put forward clear views from different aspects such as the Old Testament, the New Testament, church history, theology, and ethical practice, and guided students to conduct in-depth discussions, allowing students to learn in a short period of time. Within a short period of time, I learned a deep and broad view of the church. In the subject of "Preaching", Dean Cao and Pastor Lin not only taught the theology and methods of preaching, but also shared their experiences and insights on preaching. After the students gave a "trial lecture", they also received valuable advice from the two senior lecturers. Opinions are really helpful. In the subject of "Weilimon", three teachers had impromptu conversations and exchanges in class, presenting a more three-dimensional contribution to the church in Hong Kong as pastor Weilimon. ...
