The Disorder and Order of the Poverty Alleviation Ministry
Sarah Shea Assistant Professor of Christian Education Living in Hong Kong, where there is a huge gap between the rich and the poor, many churches try to go into the community, reach out to the poor, and help neighbors in financial difficulties. However, there are also many churches that have experienced the joy of helping others briefly, but then lost their enthusiasm and even left in disappointment. This article explores the confusion and myths that are prone to occur in the church's poverty alleviation ministry from the perspective of practical theological reflection, uses a church case as an illustrative example, and then suggests an orderly way to smooth over the chaos in the church's ministry.
