In recent years, Pastor Lam Kwok-bin of Hong Kong Baptist Theological Seminary has devoted himself to learning to become a community of disciples. We first learn to worship God together, and the morning meeting is a collective worship for our group. The college has always required all full-time students to attend the morning assembly. However, when I started serving in the college eight years ago, I saw that some students were not necessarily able to attend the morning assembly due to various reasons. Starting from the new academic year of 2009, the college has begun to implement the rules for attending morning assemblies. Gradually, the scene of the morning meeting has changed. Teachers, students and co-workers are looking forward to the morning meeting and are very involved in it. We sang hymns and praised God together in the college auditorium, prayed together, and pastored each other with God’s words (the teacher took turns preaching, and the graduating class also had a “graduation sermon”). The atmosphere and participation in morning meetings today are very different from those eight years ago. Especially the Christmas service held in the morning meeting every December.
