A couple should originally love each other and spend their lives together, but after marriage they face various difficulties and end up considering divorce or experiencing the pain of widowhood. Although society and even the church have become more accepting of divorce, the parties involved often go through painful struggles in considering and deciding. This course will explore marriage problems, the divorce process, and the challenges of life after divorce from the perspective of Christian faith and psychology. It will help students understand the needs of divorced and widowed people, and explore ways of caring in the church. Contents: 1. Is One Life to One Life a Myth? Exploring the Truth of Modern Marriage 2. Emotional suffering: Mental health and challenges in marriage 3. The test of fertility: the impact of infertility and adaptation 4. Marriage in trouble: Face it or avoid it? 5. Nowhere to Talk About Sadness: Life and Hope after Widowhood 6. The Crossroads of Divorce: In-depth Analysis and Thinking 7. Law and Emotion: Understanding Marriage Mediation and Divorce Knowledge 8. Starting a new chapter: New life after divorce 9. Goodbye, we are still friends: Challenges and opportunities of single parent life 10. The decision to remarry: the mental journey of starting over |
